About the Hike – Here is another must do things in Mussoorie ”Cloud’s end to Jwala Devi hike” is located in Western part of Mussoorie, the hike begins from Cloud’s end nestled at an elevation of 6955 ft (2120 meter) descending 427 ft (130 meters) measuring 1.20 km through Clouds end’s private forest, which take approximately 20 min to reach the Andheri Entry Gate of “Mussoorie Wildlife Sanctuary” from the Entry gate you can buy the ticket to proceeds the hike, after getting permits hike proceeds towards top another 1.5 to 2 hours venture through a gradual climb of 3.5 km surrounded by beautiful Himalayan Oak Forest, amazing meadows covered with flowers and grasses depending on time of the year you are doing this hike, if you want see this forest Lush green with clouds view, July-Aug will be a great time (please note this area will be full of leeches it’s advisable to wear proper shoes with Leech Socks)

If you wants to see and listen melodies of Himalayan Birds with Rhododendron flowering March-April would be the best time, while it’s great weather in Oct-Feb for Hiking with Outstanding 360 view of Mountains including the Great Himalayas, after Reaching the top Nestled at the Elevation of 7414 feet (2260 meters) you can Enjoy the surrounding while having pack food (please make sure you don’t leave anything behind even biodegradable things) It’s a great place for Meditations, Yoga and Photos if you wish to. Following ridge line till the watch tower and taking another forest trail will take around 40 min to reach back to the forest entry gate by making a circle, it’s not advisable to go without a guide as there are chances to get lost and some other risk.
