Kolti Village Hike

Start: Kolti Village Hike begins at Jabarkhet, situated at an elevation of 2120 meters (6955 ft.).
The Starting descends through a stunning Himalayan Oak forest, gradually transitioning to pine forests and scenic farming fields before reaching Kolti Village is 5 km distance takes 2–3 hour downhill journey, the hike offers captivating views of diverse Himalayan forests filled with Oak, Deodar, Rhododendron, and Pine trees. Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by picturesque village landscapes, verdant grasslands, and towering mountains.

Mid: Kolti Village located at an elevation of approximately 1550 meters (5085 ft.). Marks the halfway point of the hike. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a warm, homely lunch in one of the village homes. This meal serves as the perfect respite, rejuvenating you for the challenging ascent ahead.
After lunch, the hike continues uphill toward Landour. The scenery transformers dramatically as you trek alongside a mesmerising stream flowing through a lush valley.

Jeep Safari Pick-up For anyone who would prefer not to climb the steep uphill to Landour after lunch, a 4×4 Jeep can be arranged from the village to Mussoorie for an additional charge. The pickup location will be either Kolti or Ladure (another 2.5 km hike), depending on road conditions. This jeep safari, which passes through beautiful village landscapes, will add an adventurous twist to your journey.

Ascent to Landour: The uphill trek from Kolti to Landour spans 3–4 hours measuring around 3 km, testing your endurance as you ascend 610 meters (2001 ft.) over steep gradients. This portion of the hike is both physically demanding and deeply rewarding, with breathtaking views along the way.

Happy and Rewording End: The hike concludes at Landour Cemetery, perched at an elevation of 2160 meters (7086 ft.). This serene spot offers panoramic vistas, providing a moment of reflection amidst the tranquil beauty of the Himalayas. On clear days, you can catch glimpses of the majestic Greater Himalayas of Uttarakhand’s Garhwal region after walking 1 km easy walk to you reach to char-dukan where you can also enjoy Tea/caffe at any restaurant:
